This blog started when I took a class called Place Conscious Education through the Nebraska Writer's Project at UNL. Then I continued it as I explored place conscious writing in the heart of Italy while I took a workshop called "Tapping into the Soul of Place". Now I'm writing about my place at "home" with family, friends and students.

Back to blogging!
It has been a L - O - N - G time since I have blogged! I'm fired up about our class blog and all the way cool blogs my students are putting together. Leave it to my inspirational team teacher, Mrs. Morrow, to get me excited about this! It was her idea to have students use the blogs as a place to share their writing with a wider audience; I love this idea. Now I'm trying to be a good model and commit to my blog, too. I've been working in my classroom this evening thinking about our 8th grade English class. I've been looking at plans and looking over the writing forum we will use to post and respond to writing, but I'll tell you more about that later. For now, I just wanted to share this picture of the bulletin board Mrs. Morrow put together in my room. It's a first page print out of each students' blog! It makes me happy every time I look up to see it!
