This blog started when I took a class called Place Conscious Education through the Nebraska Writer's Project at UNL. Then I continued it as I explored place conscious writing in the heart of Italy while I took a workshop called "Tapping into the Soul of Place". Now I'm writing about my place at "home" with family, friends and students.
Your blog is so rich with pictures and stories-- its' making me wish I had gone with Blogger instead of the very functional "blog tool" on Blackboard!
Great wedding pic and lots of good ones to represent O'Neill and Nebraska. It's a hard place to claim, sometimes, but worth it I think. You seem to have really embraced your hometown. It must be very cool to have some much "street cred" in the community where you teach. That counts for a great deal in these small communities.

Thanks for sharing so much, and so well!
